Blood Pressure Screening
The Blood Pressure Screening Program is a health promotion service that provides individuals the opportunity to have their blood pressure taken in a clinic setting, at the office, or at an outreach site. The purpose of the service is to detect elevated blood pressures and refer the person to their physician as needed. If the blood pressure is elevated, the individual is instructed to see their physician or follow-up with additional blood pressure checks in the future. Education is provided regarding hypertension and diet.
